Book Review: Solon’s Prophecy I
Solon, the author, published 13 major prophecies in this book. Some prophecies came true before publication, others after publication, and the rest are to be manifested in the future. One of the prophecies that came true after publication was the massive earthquake that struck Japan in January 1995, which was predicted in this book and published in September 1994. The book contains detailed explanations of how he prophesied, how to avoid the foreseen events, and why they would happen.

Prophecy of Natural Disaster
One of the 13 prophecies covers natural disasters. It shows how the actions and feelings of individuals impact natural events. According to the prophecy, natural disasters begin with disasters in the sky, such as severe storms or heat waves. The disasters in the sky are led by the selfish conduct of upper-class individuals, such as politicians. If they don’t change their behavior, which impacts citizens’ lives, citizens will become more anxious about their lives. Such feelings of citizens or lower-class people call for another disaster on the land, like earthquakes and tsunamis. When there is unusual weather and many citizens’ concerns remain unsolved, the prophecy implies that we should act with caution in preparation for natural disasters.
Prophecy of the Last Judgment
There is also a prophecy regarding the period of the Last Judgment. The prophecy indicates that the last judgment will occur between 1960 and 2080. The Last Judgment is described as an era when all humans will live their final lives as humans and face judgment about their ways as humans. People who fail the judgment cannot live as humans in their next life. The prophecy also states that beginning in 2020, the number of people will decrease while the number of animals will increase. In fact, the prophecy has come true since 2020, as COVID-19 has become an epidemic and many people have passed away.
Many people seek to improve their current lives through upgrading their financial status, building a nicer house, driving a better car, and purchasing more products. However, the prophecy informs us that there are other subjects that we need to know.
The author tells us how to face the judgment. A key is to pray in God’s name, as the author describes in the book. It is the name of the original first God, as well as all Gods in the universe, that the author sought and was given from God. The book also states that we must recognize God’s giving. For that, it is required to recognize God’s existence and to understand God’s workings, therefore, studying God’s work is important. The materials to study God’s work are provided by other books.

Overall, the prophecies indicate that the consequences, including natural disasters, conflicts in relationships, sickness, injuries, and financial difficulties, are caused by people’s particular actions. The prophecies reveal unpreventable events, but the author still provides a way to get over them. Some prophecies are preventable, and the author clearly explains how to avoid them.
