Book Review: Fushigina Kiroku Volume 8
In this book, the author mainly writes about the history of languages and characters. The history the author shares accounts for a variety of information. Some of these are:
- God taught humans languages and characters in the ancient era.
- Language and characters are the foundations of education.
- Words have power, which are called “word spirits” and are used in Shinto rituals.
- God created humans and traveled around the world to educate them.
- People came from all over the world to Japan to learn the teachings from Gods.
- Historical records about the age of Gods were destroyed by people who seek world domination.
- Some families have protected historical records from previous generations.
- Scholars and Shinto priests of other shrines were surprised by the God name and the ancient characters in the Isshinkai.
- There are the creator God and many other Gods.
- Characters created during the age of Gods are used in Shinto rituals.
All of these are important, but I would like to review the destroyed historical records and the name of God.

Destroyed Historical Records about Age of Gods
According to the author, the age of Gods began tens of thousands of years ago, when Gods appeared in Japan and went all over the world to help people and provide teachings, including languages and characters. Since the Gods settled in Japan, there have been records of historical events. However, the author indicates that a few foreigners manipulated the records in order to destroy the teachings and history. Those persons desired to be the world’s king and disliked the higher presence more than themselves. Now, the remaining records contain inaccurate data. Yet, the author identifies and shares precise historical events during the age of Gods.
Name of God
The book introduces the name of God as well as the ancient characters for that name. When two priests from other shrines saw the name of God, they acknowledged the name as representing both the creator God and the many other Gods. The author encourages people of all religions to call on the name of God in order to contact God/Gods.
Summary
The author shows the name of God and the ancient characters for the name, which surprised a historical record researcher as well as Shinto priests from other shrines having long histories. The majority of ancient history documents have been lost, yet the author explains how to find the correct history and presents his findings. He teaches us that God once taught humans and gave languages and characters. It indicates that God’s education is the foundation of our civilization.
