Book Review: Fushigina Kiroku Volume 5

The author is the chief priest of New Style Ancient Shinto Isshinkai, and the teaching is based on revelations that the author received from God. The author shares and explains the revelations in his books to help people.

Volume 5 covers topics such as the God name representing all Gods, many miracles that have happened by praying the God name, and karma. The author highlights the significance of God’s name and its enormous influence throughout those topics.

Generally, miracles are defined by events that cannot be explained only by natural causes. The author clearly explains that miracles are works of God. The following words in the book briefly describe the viewpoint of the author.

I am not God or the devil. God creates miracles as a result of receiving sincerity from someone who tries to help people. I am a human being like you.

Although it seems that the author is special due to the miracles described in the book, he explains that he is just a human being, and the miracles are works of God. When we have a helper mindset and we are trusted by God, such as the case is with the author, God provides help to us miraculously. In this book, the author teaches about the existence of God and how to receive miracles.

God Name Representing All Gods

The author introduces a helpful guidance method, which is to pray to the God name associated with all Gods. The God name was provided by God as the result of the author’s praying. For a long time, the author had prayed to God and asked for a God’s name that he could pray to that would represent all the gods. He allows people of any and all religions to call the God name and pray. Since the God name associates with all Gods, it also associates with the God or Gods of any religion. Calling the God name is an important step to receiving help from God.

The author strongly urges readers to treat the God name sincerely. He shares factual stories of people who opposed the true God and God’s teachings and the consequences for doing so. It proves that Gods are not only merciful but also strict. We have to be sincere and serious when we pray to the true God.

Miracles by praying the God name

Throughout the book, the author describes miracles seen as a result of praying the God’s name, which include witnesses and evidence. Readers may see the powerful influence of God’s name in the stories. Miracles include a polio patient case, an epileptic patient case, and a knee trouble case. The other case involves a ghost problem. Residents had eerie experiences since their residence was built with a tombstone. The author discovered the reason and miraculously helped the residents by praying in God’s name. The other fascinating story involves a memorial service for ancient people performed on November 29, 1965. It was shown on a nationwide television network and major Japanese newspapers. People witnessed various unusual events such as the mysterious beautiful sound of a bell at the shrine.

Karma – Life is Practice School

The author describes life as being like a school where people can learn and practice. We live a life with karma that is often shown as issues relating to sickness, injury, family, work, and relationships. Those issues are assignments in life or the practice school. We need to understand the cause and resolve the issues. To understand the cause, or karma, we can learn more about it from his books and in the shrine. The shrine is a place that offers help.

The author writes that God created human beings as God’s children with no bad karma. It indicates that we can return to the original status with no bad karma when we improve our thoughts and actions.

Even negative thinking, such as thoughts and feelings of jealousy and hate, becomes bad karma. We have choices in how we think and act. Bad habits, or karma, make us think a certain way. As the author mentioned, life is a school, and we have to learn and improve ourselves step by step.

The author explains that since this is the physical world, it is important to show evidence of being apologetic for having bad actions and thoughts. The evidence of apology can be offering, volunteering, or donating money or food. Only a one penny offering is fine since God knows everything about us. If there is sincerity in the penny, God will help the person.
