Book Review: Fushigina Kiroku Volume 19

Volume 19 teaches an entire history of God’s era. Also, it includes more teachings, such as the meaning of Isshin-kai, the strictness of God, and three different types of souls.

一神宮 (Isshingu)  and 一神会 (Isshinkai)

The book includes shrine names, 一神宮 (Isshingu) and 一神会 (Isshinkai). This volume provides an explanation for them through ancient history.

Isshingu is the name of an ancient Shinto shrine where Gods taught humans various things before religion, country, or social class existed. With God’s guidance, the author reveals the hidden ancient history of the Issingu period, which existed around 10 million years ago. The history explains how Gods appeared on Earth as personal deities. Isshinkai, on the other hand, is a new name of an ancient Shinto shrine Isshingu. Today, Gods provide help to all people at Isshinkai.

Gods Help People with Mercy and Severity

The author describes the severe aspect of Gods. He states that Gods are merciful, but people must be aware of the severity since, without awareness, some individuals may have more negative thoughts and actions by leaving aside the teachings and help of Gods. Although most religions emphasize God’s love and kindness, Gods sometimes guide and help humans in severe ways.

Evolution of Soul

In the previous volume, the author explains that a human being on earth is formed of three elements, such as a soul, a spiritual body, and a physical body. And we own only the soul. Other elements are temporary elements to live on the earth.

In this volume, the author explains further details on the three soul categories, such as an animal soul, a human soul, and God’s child soul. God’s child soul is the original soul created by Gods. It maintains good thoughts and actions. The human soul does not remain in its original state. It contains the karma of both good and bad thoughts and actions. The animal soul has a strong tendency toward bad thoughts and actions. This teaching indicates that some individuals are physically human beings but spiritually animals. The author presents a great concept: the evolution of the soul. If we enhance our thoughts and actions, we can evolve into God’s child souls. If we don’t, our souls can devolve into animal souls. It’s all up to our will.

Now God’s intention in bringing us to earth is to provide us with an opportunity to improve our souls. People with God’s child souls are one source of help. It is important to meet such wonderful individuals and learn how to evolve. Gods provide words: “Come back faster, our children.” We can come back through soul-level evolution. And we can learn how to evolve through learning God’s laws.

The final chapter describes the lives of individuals who have God’s child souls. Their thoughts and acts are inspiring. We can observe that their thoughts and actions are different. They pray to God to help others, even when they are in difficult situations such as dealing with sickness. Their thoughts and actions are driven by an awareness of God’s existence.

Summary

Shinto refers to the present time as the dark era, the challenging era. According to the author, it will continue until around 2100. Until then, we must evolve ourselves. It is critical that we try to return to Gods by following God’s teachings.
