Book Review: Fushigina Kiroku Volume 18
Volume 18 is designated as a special edition. According to the author, Vol. 17 was meant to be the final volume. However, after getting reader requests, he decided to write other editions.
The book’s primary focus is on universal mysteries and the Divine Ten Commandments. Readers who have studied previous volumes can gain greater insight from this book. To educate on the deeper aspects, the stricter elements of God’s laws are addressed. In the early books, the author did not go into great detail about the strict aspects. As the volumes continue, he explains the strict sides that are helpful to understand God’s laws more deeply.

Divine Ten Commandments
This author presents ten divine commandments. Readers who have previously studied God’s law will see that the ten divine commandments adhere to God’s laws. We can recap past studies as well as gain an understanding of the severity and the accuracy of God’s laws.
By comparing God’s law to human law, we may see how precise and severe it is. First, human laws differ by country. Second, people can use legal loopholes to violate the law, falsify evidence, or lie to avoid penalties. Third, various judges can come to different conclusions about the penalty. Finally, there is a statute of limitations for penalties. In other words, human laws are required to safeguard civilization, but they are imperfect.
God’s law, on the other hand, works for the entire universe. It applies equally to all nations, religions, ethnic groups and people. There are no loopholes, no statute of limitations for penalties, and no lying. It is completely strict and fully enforced with deep mercy, as some factual stories have been described in previous volumes. It might be frightening for those who have done wrong, but it accurately helps those who really apologize. God’s laws are both frightening and helpful.
There is no statute of limitations on sin. And sin and its consequences will remain with sinners until atonement is made. A shocking news story about a murder occurred many years ago. A man accidentally hit someone with his vehicle. To avoid paying compensation for the victim, he decided to hit the victim again to murder him. After reading the book, we now understand that the sinner must face a difficult life in order to atone for the murder.
